1. Who you bought from
Subscriptions to Vera are sold through Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle.com Market Limited is the seller on your invoice and handles payment, sales tax and refunds on our instruction. Charges appear on your statement with a Paddle descriptor.
This policy sits alongside Paddle’s buyer terms, and alongside any refund right you have under the consumer law of your own country — where those give you more, they win.
2. Cancelling a subscription
- You can cancel at any time, yourself, from Settings → Billing in the application. No email, no phone call, no retention flow.
- The same screen opens the payment portal, where you can also update your payment method and download past invoices.
- Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the workspace then moves to the free plan rather than being deleted.
- Annual plans work the same way: cancelling part-way through a year ends the renewal, and access continues until the paid year ends.
- Nothing is deleted by cancelling. Your projects, tests and run history stay in the workspace; from then on the free plan’s limits apply to what you can create and run, and resubscribing lifts them again.
3. Refunds
We want you to pay only for something you actually use. Our discretionary policy, on top of your statutory rights:
- First purchase. If Vera is not right for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full.
- Renewals. If an automatic renewal caught you out and you have not meaningfully used the new period, tell us promptly and we will refund it.
- Billing errors. Duplicate charges, a charge after a confirmed cancellation, or a charge on the wrong plan are always refunded in full, whenever you spot them.
- Extended outage. If the Service is materially unavailable for a prolonged period, contact us and we will credit or refund the affected time.
Outside those cases we do not refund the unused remainder of a period that has already started, because the subscription remains usable until it ends. We may decline a refund where an account has been used in breach of our Terms & Conditions, or where there is evidence of repeated buy-and-refund abuse.
4. How to request a refund
Email support@vera-agent.com from the address on the account, with the invoice or order number from your Paddle receipt and a sentence about what went wrong. You can also raise it directly with Paddle through the link on your receipt.
We aim to decide within within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method; how quickly it appears is down to your bank or card issuer, typically within 5–10 business days.
5. Free plan, trials and AI allowance
The free plan costs nothing and needs no payment method, so there is nothing to refund. The included AI allowance given to a new workspace is a courtesy rather than a purchase; it has no cash value and is not refundable or transferable.
Charges you incur directly with your own AI provider are between you and that provider — we never bill for them and cannot refund them.
6. Changes and price increases
If we change prices, the new price applies from your next renewal after we notify you, and you can cancel before then. If we change this policy, the version in force when you paid is the one that applies to that payment.
7. Contact
